Trigger points, or areas of tension and pain in the muscles, joints, or connective tissue (fascia, tendons, ligaments), can be so persistent and pervasive. Point injection finds these muscles, tissues or joints, and infuses safe medicinals, such as high-powered anti-inflammatory agents like glutathione, B-12, lidocaine.
The needle is very small for hypodermic needles, the size of a diabetic insulin needle. Usually patients feel a brief pinch, then a little pressure, then immediate relaxation of the area, followed by pain relief.
This modality has a wide range of applications, most commonly are:
Headaches, migraines
Neck and shoulder pain
Low back pain, sciatica
Knee pain, hip pain, ankle pain
Abdominal pain, IBS
Any spasmed muscles
Joints that are inflamed
Your practitioner will likely use 2-3 of the following for your Point Injection:
